The Mettis Aerospace Apprenticeship Programme – Winning Awards Again!

The Mettis Aerospace Apprenticeship Programme continues to deliver excellence and the company is reaping the rewards of its ongoing investment in this crucial training programme.

The programme continues to deliver new talent into the business and Adam Merricks is the latest Apprentice Graduate to be recognised for his outstanding performance. On 3rd September Adam was awarded with the Advanced Apprentice Graduate of the Year by Midland Group Training Services at their annual awards ceremony, which took place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. Adam beat off stiff competition from thirty one apprentice graduates from across the region and was selected, with eight others as a finalist. Adam was then chosen as the winner of the award from this group of eight finalists.

The judges of the award were impressed by Adam’s confidence, his involvement in key business projects and his ability to adapt so quickly into a management position. The senior management team at Mettis Aerospace are also impressed with his achievements and Archie MacPherson, Managing Director at Mettis Aerospace comments, “We are extremely proud of Adam’s achievements and are delighted that his performance has been recognised by Midland Group Training Services, with the award for Advanced Apprentice Graduate of the Year. Adam is a valuable member of the team at Mettis Aerospace, he is confident to challenge the status quo to develop and improve the performance we deliver to our customers and we look forward to supporting him as he grows his career with the company.”
