Mettis Aerospace increases precision machining footprint

Mettis Aerospace has won a new contract from Honeywell Aerospace for the precision machining of hydraulic manifolds.  The contract represents an important element of delivering the Mettis Aerospace strategy of offering a single integrated capability to customers from engineering, to manufacture, through to processing and assembly. 

The Honeywell Aerospace hydraulic manifolds are precision forged, machined, processed, and fully assembled before they are delivered to Honeywell Aerospace.

The synergies leveraged by the Mettis Aerospace simplified supply solution allows benefits and savings to be passed onto customers.  In this case Honeywell Aerospace benefit from reduced working capital commitments, reduced time to market and improved total acquisition costs.

To support this new contract award Mettis Aerospace has invested in a new 5-axis CNC machine, demonstrating the company’s commitment to invest in order to maintain state of the art manufacturing capabilities.
